Now booking dates for the
Spring crappie seasons...Call today for open dates!
Crappie fishing is good.... The crappie fishing has started off good so far in the new year here on Weiss Lake. We have been having warmer than normal temperatures and this has had the crappie biting like crazy. Over the last week anglers have been trolling and casting a jig under a float in the shallow stumpy flats in Spring Creek off Little River and catching some really nice stringers of crappie. There have been a lot of stringers averaging 35-60 keepers but the fishermen are catching a 100-200 fish per day. We have a cold front moving through the area now bringing some colder weather for this weekend and that will probably slow the fishing down. The spring crappie season will really get underway in February and continue through April. The trolling bite will really be strong! If you are interested in a spring trip on Weiss Lake give me a call as soon as possible to get your dates reserved! We have been booking up fast but still have some open dates. I will be out on the water over the next few weeks and I hope to have another good report for you. Remember there is a 10 inch size limit on crappie on Weiss Lake and your daily creel limit is 30 per person, per day...Good Fishin to All"
You can now get your Southern Pro jigs at Pop's Crappie Shed located at the Weiss Lake Lodge 998 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre! Just look for the the big fish!!!
